Coming back to "real life"

Of late, I've been occupied with a few things, and that should justify my lack of presence in this page =)

One of them is this...

I stayed up all night (hehehe~ till 3am only lar), skipped dinner, shorten my daily 2-hour chatting session... and isolate myself for a book (^o^)

Yea, I made "huge" sacrifices just to read a book; it's simply "huge" because I don't normally do that.. Well I mean reading is one of the many hobbies I have but so far no one book can manage to leave me with so much suspense & anticipation, chic-flick romance, heart breaks, "sex issues" etc (It's either that or I didn't read as much as I thought ;p) As you can (or cannot) see on the cover, it says "Everyone Worth Knowing", it depicts the life of Penelope after quitting her 80 hours/week conventional job in a bank on impulse and join a PR company, Kelly & Co. I read about 108 pages, few hundreds more to go, GAMBATTE JOY LIM CHEN LIN!

Meanwhile, I'm also reading another management book entitled "Winning" by Jack Welch, the title sounds a little 'kiasu' but I can't do much judgment yet considering I've just read the introduction. However,it has got highly positive reviews from Bill Gates so I'm having high hopes as well *wink*

Enough of reading (boring books for mid-age spinster). Books aside, I'm currently addicted to the song "Nobody" by Wonder Girls. It's usually not me to fancy this kind of teenage group with endlessly repeated chorus and called it music but this is indeed an exceptional case! It may be due to the heavy promotional advert for the Wonder Girls concert but main point is, I'm sooooo into their dance move. Since I'm not a natural talent at dancing (or any kind of complicated movement), it took me 2 hours to master the dance; well just the chorus part the least hahahaha~~ I want nobody, nobody but you~ (clap clap, wear short skirt one leg put high up) Something like that la don't complain too much >.<

When I was a kid, it took me forever to learn Para Para Sakura then 3 days later I looked blank as if the dance was some kind of rocket science theory ;(

See the video for yourself because I know my explanation doesn't help at all...

That aside, I have another favorite song, temporarily, it's nonetheless "Sorry Sorry Sorry" by Super Junior. I have zero knowledge of Korea language, know nothing about Korean culture (but I ate bibimbap once and quite like it) no idea who Kim Seung Min is, ironically though I have 2 korean friends TJ & Evan hahaha~ Back to the song, I love the chorus which goes like

"Sorry Sorry Sorry Sorry Naega naega naega meonjeo Nege nege nege ppajyeo Ppajyeo ppajyeo beoryeo baby Shawty Shawty Shawty Shawty Nuni busyeo busyeo busyeo Sumi makhyeo makhyeo makhyeo Naega michyeo michyeo baby"

Here's the video:

Tonight I shall practice again! In fact, I can't stop mumbling sorry sorry sorry from the moment I wake up hehehe~

I have boring hobbies yet these boring-ness keep me happy ;) And sane ;)

By the way, it's only 30 days to go before we usher the arrival of another new year, new challenges and a new positive self! Will talk about that later on ;) For now, I should get back to work in a happy mode! ;p

Have a nice day everyone!!~

Dan's Trip Up North

If you have been following my notes and updates in FB, you’ll know that I started the day feeling extremely agitated over something which I’m too exhausted to repeat right now, hence if you are concern, read it here.

However, I’m delighted to say that the 2nd half of the day went through pretty well & happy *thumbs up* A lot of catching up to do and a fruitful discussion (to be disclosed at a later date) Sounds confusing huh?  No worries, I’ll go in details soon but for now I’ll let the picture do (most) of the talking *Forgive me I’m really too tired to even raise my fingers, let alone moving along the keyboard * big wet eyes*

First of all, I need to do a brief introduction on this guy friend of mine, he’s Danny. To be precise, he's my ex-colleague from Isetan. Single & available *need to hard-sell as per requested wtf* He came all the way from KL to join Penang Bridge Run 2010 with his eldest sister, how cool is that! So after the tormenting race *as according to him*, he called me up & we decided to go for a lunch just to catch up on each other’s matters since the last time we met was probably a year ago. Not much drastic changes as I can see from him, just a little *extra pound* Time to hit the gym mate J Another thing, he was teasing me about me updating my FB pictures so frequent means I syiok sendiri take picture a lot, which is true to a certain degree cannot fought back but later when I played around with his i-phone, I saw alot of his ss pictures HAHAHHAHAHA

And also just a little more of history to share, he was my close buddy in Isetan, me in Merchandising Dept while he was in the IT Dept. Or friendship blossomed on one occasion where I need to stay back very late to do some information searching (I was new & as plain as a piece of white paper) Then coincidentally Dan Dan Boy (his pet name) was on night shift. He came to my place and we ended up chatting all night! Yup, that’s when we get to know each other better and be real good friends ever since!

His parents tagged along in this trip and they stay at Vistana (nearby BJ) Thus, I picked him up there and we headed to QB. After some chit-chatting & loitering around, we (actually I) decided to have jap for lunch as he was already energy-less from too much walking J

Need no explanation on this I know :) Yup, we were at Sushi King.

His attempt to help me take a better picture of my meal but nampaknya fail. What to do...anybody wants to sponsor DSLR? *big wet eyes kali kedua*

See I know him too well! He sure cheated one kesi2 take my picture..so I blocked..erm...1/2 face =.=”..

One thing weird that I notice is why people go Sushi King and eat curry one? I never tried Japanese curry cause the idea doesn’t sound tempting to me. According to Dan Dan Boy, the curry was sweet, not spicy at all hahahaha Japanese fail in making curry hahaha lame Maybe Japanese curry is meant to be tasted that way, I never analyze on that wtf And.. this is Dan Dan Boy’s first visit to Sushi King @@ The best part was, he said not he can proudly tell his friends, “When I go Penang, my friend brought me to Sushi King” wtf I was ashamed because I didn’t know the best place for street food in the afternoon =.=”.. Sorry lo, I’ll be a better host next time, k?

After the hearty meal, I sent him back to the hotel for his much needed rest and rushed to meet another friend of mine, Mei & TW. Unfortunately, Mei couldn’t reach Penang island on time so TW & I met up and did some *serious discussion* As I said, yet to be disclosed hahahaha~

Meeting up with friends never fail to cheer me up! It’s only 6pm now & I’m yawning ever so crazily *yawn yawn yawn* Should really call it a day now but before that, I should live up to my name “JOY” and joyfully show you some SS pics wtf

Before that, *ahem* today I’m a woman in black with my expensive biker dress hahaha~

First picture is of course, my signature alien face wakakakaka #%$%$^Y@#Q@@!!!

Follow by "sakit kepala pose"

Up next will be loads of meaningful pictures, BEWARE wtf

I wanna tunjuk muka kasihan but my baby hairs ruin the picture L

Last but not least, an ugly picture of me asking you to shut up because it's my bed time ^o^

Or a seductive one (but gagal teruk)

Ok, I’m serious now, night night! J

Side note: As I’m writing this, I just recalled that I’ve forgotten to pay him some postage money that I owe him few weeks back. Sorry Dan Dan Boy, you will be here next month right? :D

Let's not forget to add me here & follow me here.

Night night!~

Gossip "Girls"

This aunty sitting kang-kangly happens to be my mum. As you can see from the photo, her favorite (& only) pastime is to gossip. Once she's on the phone, be it with relatives/neighbors/friends, expect her to be at the same position for an hour at least. If there's such a thing as the gossip queen, I'll nominate my mum then you guys please vote for her hahahaha~ She's indeed the Best Gossip Kaki, best in Penang & Butterworth, some say Seberang Perai!

All right, that's it for now. I feel bad already for disclosing this photo. And publicize her in such a manner T___T I'm usually not like that. I mean I do make fun of my mummy dearest but not publicly wtf hahaha

That aside, she's really a super cool & open minded mum! I mean which mum will force you to sleep with bf & have babies simply because she thinks the timing is right? Which mum will buy & wear the same t-shirt as you? Other than that, she makes great healthy dishes too! ^^

Just for fun! For more fun sides, add me here & follow me here =)

Side note: Mummy actually feels delighted that I hard-sell her in cyber space.. Oh Jesus.....!

Have a goodnight sleep! (=

Learning Chinese Part 4 (+o+)

Welcome to my blog! I'm back with my weekly Learning Chinese Series: Part 4. Before I go into the actual syllabus that we'd gone through, I'd like to share with you an "welcoming speech" which Dr Tang has given last week, take a look:

“So today is lesson 3. Welcome to the class, I hope that you all can still remember what I teach last week. We learned numbers, strokes & some basic words, still can remember? Do you have any question on that? *no pausing whatsoever* If not, we will continue with today...there are some activities that I’ve planned for today. Maybe it’s hard for us to have one-to-one interaction because the class is very big, about 50 people so hard for me to teach. (wtf) Next week or maybe the week after next, there will be a new class by Ms Zhu Yue, same time but another classroom (wtf) so if you feel that you already have some knowledge of the language you can go to the class maybe can gain more knowledge from there. Or if some of you want to start from lesson 1, first class can also go to that class & learn more. I’ll pass around this paper. This is Class A, Zhu Yue’s class is Class B. If you think you can learn more there then you just put ‘B’ beside your name, this paper I’ll pass around this paper, just put ‘B’...ah maybe you can learn something new there since she is from China. And also easier for me to teach this group if it’s not so many people. There’s about 50 of you that’s why we need to separate into 2 classes, Class A & Class B. If all of you choose to remain in this class then I have to work harder & try my best to teach this language to all of you. I welcome you to my class & I’ll try to teach in a fun way, hopefully you all will learn something from me. Now, I’ll share with you some activities for today. Zhu Yue’s class might have other activities maybe you go there you can learn more. Anyway, welcome to my class...”

This ‘opening speech’ lasted for 30 minutes. The actual thing is much longer, I just shorten a part of it because my fingers ache by just typing this paragraph. Just imagine our torment while sitting in there, staring at the fragile old lady mumbling in front, don’t know want to feel pek chek or pity at her. *sigh* I saw Susan from ELS was yawning, some giggled when our dear teacher kept beating around the bush. I was busy jotting down everything she said while my friend, Padmani kept telling me, “Kesian the teacher huh~ kesian her~”.

Just for you to know, I’m not in any position or have any intention to criticize the way she conducted the class. However, it just bothers me with the fact that she didn’t have to repeat so many times for simple announcement like this. Precisely, she can just say “There’ll be a new class/group by Ms Zhu Yue so if there are some of you who find that you cannot cope with the lesson here, you can go over to her class, same time, but different classroom. Full stop. Easy peasy. Save a lot of time and saliva & she can continue with the lesson.

Another matter that bothers me is the inefficiency use of time. Very poor time management I’d say. For your information, this elementary level consists of 8 classes, once per week, 3 hours each time. Just imagine the time allocation will be something like this if I put it in a pie chart:

Out of 180 minutes (3 hours), 17% (30 minutes) were used for her to aimlessly mumbling or to convey a very simple message in a sarcastic manner. That follow by 12% (20 minutes) for waiting those who were late (Malaysians can never be punctual. This is a fact.), another 12% (20 minutes) for tea break & the final 12% (20 minutes) for video-playing. Overall, the exact time use to teach is only a less-than-half 47% (80 minutes)! A huge percentage of 57% (90 minutes) + 10 minutes (she always dismiss class 10 minutes before the bell rings) goes wasted unnecessarily! Just multiply 80 minutes with 8 classes, that’s only about 10 hours & 40 minutes of lesson time. You tell me, how can you master an elementary level in just 10 hours? How to learn 100 Chinese characters / words in 10 hours? By the word “learn”, I expect someone to be able to write, read, pronounce & understand the meaning of it & also apply it.

Side note: A business student is always sensible (a.k.a calculative) when it comes to time & money, hahaha~

Enough said. Moving on to our lesson of the week:

We learn some additional strokes, for basic strokes click here

Then, we write basic conversational phrase / greetings like, "Ni hao ma?" meaning how are you and "zai jian" meaning goodbye or see you again!

More exercises on intonation..

(Lucky number 5863~)

Then we did revisions on numbers, from 1 - 100... like yi, er, san, si, wu.... jiu shi jiu, yi bai..

I write very ugly I know, I will practice more! *semangat berkobar-kobar*

By the way, I scored 20/20 in the test! Yay!~ Will show you the test paper when she returns it.

Got to go, on half day leave today!

Goodbye!

COLLISTAR THERMOACTIVE TALLASO-SCRUB

Are these conditions familiar to you? (Me: Yes!)

Do you spend hours wondering why after a strict diet plan of nothing but only carrots & a strenuous work-out session, the tummy is still there? (Me: Yes!!)

Fatty leg & uneven skin tone? (Me: Yes!!!)

And not to mention, the flabby thigh that looks awfully horrible in short pants? (Me: Yes!!!!)

If you had answered "yes" to all the questions above, then YES! you are at the right page! Sharing the same "predicaments" like most girls out there, I have had enough of whining & endlessly crying in shame. But fret not, because I've got a secret solution to share with you today; a secret that will last you a lifetime! ^o^

Ladies (and gentlemen), this is COLLISTAR. Just for you to know, COLLISTAR is the No 1 brand in Italian selected perfumery since 2003! Lucky you because under their Body Treatment line, they came up with Thermoactive Talasso-Scrub that combines both the essence of reshaping & re-firming effect!

COLLISTAR'S THERMOACTIVE TALASSO-SCRUB

This is the "secret recipe" in a jar ^-^

The fragrance of it is so captivating & refreshing that I'm addicted to it! The blend of rosemary & lavender essential oils is such a unique combination! Let us see what's inside & how the miracles work onto our body, okay gals?

COLLISTAR THERMOACTIVE TALLASO-SCRUB is an enhanced sea salt for softer and brighter skin. Combined with green tea, ivy, fucus vasciculosus, fig shoots and antisculpt, it can produced lipolitic effect and stimulate the breakdown of fat. And with glycerin, your skin will be moisturized, leaving it softer, smoother & finer.

Apply it evenly on our fatty area then rub it! And almost immediately you can feel the heat-effect all over (like applying medicated oil but minus the smell); which is good meaning the product is working its wonders!

Keep rubbing it (I rubbed mine for 5 minutes).

"Salty" legs

The essence of it absorbs rather quickly, almost immediately! =)

Fulfill my 100k cam-whore pictures quest before bathing :-o

youcantseemytualamandilalala

*shy* *shy* *shy*

Rinse off the salt with cold / warm water.

After the 1st application, the skin is instantly smooth & fairer! For optimum results, it is recommended to use the product twice per week! I use thrice because I kiasu =.="...

With frequent usage, skin has definitely become firmer & more toned! ^^

All in all, this is indeed a very effective product to burn off excessive fats and toned up your figure! Despite using it for only 2 weeks (approximately 6 times), I'm amazed at the positive results! My tummy is slowly showing signs of "disappearing". ^o^ I strongly recommend this product to my dear readers & friends!
