DEAR GRANDMA...

I need to voice out something that bothers me a lot. Yesterday, while at my maternal grandmother’s house, my brother saw teddy bear coin box on the table and he wanted to take it back home. What surprise me most was my grandmother immediately grabbed it back from him and said, “You can’t have this because I want to give to Ah Jian (another grandchild).
My concerns are:

1. Why did my grandmother react so bewilderedly over a RM 9.90 teddy bear coin box?

2. Why did my grandmother treated my brother slightly “inferior” than her other grandchildren? Simply because he’s not her biological grandchildren?

My dad was fucking furious even till now. After all, my brother is just a 10-year old who knows nothing even when people are treating him unfairly. And my poor brother was seriously upset and kept asking us why grandmother refused to give it to him. Please my dear grandmother, have some mercy on an innocent 10 year old kid.

After all, he calls you grandma too...just like us.

Mad.

Disappointed.

Post script:

Dear Oscar,

Daddy, mummy, kor kor & I will each buy one for you k! So, you are going to have 4 different bears! Stay happy and lovely, we LOVE you loads!!

TRUTH VS LIES

Finally, weekend is here........

I mean weekend will be around practically every week wtf but I find it increasingly hard to sit properly and pen down my thoughts. Ultimately, I have deserted this place for like f.o.r.e.v.e.r ............period

I really have to say now that blogging is a luxury that I can only afford on weekends. Not all weekends by the way because I have other commitments as well and most of the time, I need to be with these people for some other plans that I have in my head. And I don’t think it’s time to share about it yet since most of the plans are in early stage. Sacrifices have to be made but I did not make the choice to let this page of mine goes down the drain...it just happen... I don’t mean to say that this page is just a “toy” and in case you want to know, I take it more seriously than anything else in the virtual world, come on, I have been here, saying stupid things, writing the most non-sensible sentences for years, making remarks that I wish I could take it back, do you think I will let this page go? Never. By “going down the drain”, I’m not referring to the traffic but rather my lack of presence and commitment to maintain it. It just happened.

I’m relatively new to the current job that I have, doing a totally different field from what I initially started out in my career path. It’s time-consuming, energy-consuming and most of all, it’s not easy for me. But I’m willing to give it a try! From the day I left my previous trunk, people have been asking, are you working now, are you planning to travel around for a while, are you taking some time off, etc. Allow me to answer you here, first question, yes. Actually, I joined this new place the next day after leaving my previous organization. I wasn’t ready to say about it because it escalates my stress level when all people care about is how much I earn and not what I do.

(New girl in the neighborhood, MOMO~)

Ohya, by the way, about the reason I left, I think I should clarify a bit. On paper, I wrote “to try something new” which is clearly....lame. However, that’s partly the reason. Another undeniable reason I found was I can’t cope with the unnecessary ‘disturbance’ anymore. As in.... some people and office politic stuffs that make work harder for everybody else. And the abuse of authority which was sickening to a level that I can’t bring myself to continue doing the same thing any longer. That’s when I chose to leave, on goodwill. I once heard that if you leave for menial reasons, it shows that you have low IQ and EQ level. But let me correct you, some people were thought to be brave simply because they were afraid to leave. I have made my bold step and I’m going to stick to it for some time and see how this can work.

(Commercial break: Computers are smart nowadays because as I’m typing this paragraph, it pops up a few times about my grammar errors and wrong order of words, bravo!)

Now for the second question, the travel around thingy, how I wish but I’m not monetarily strong to sustain without working for long. So it will be no, not travelling anywhere for now. In a few months time, yes, I’m going to somewhere else down under to attend a graduation and another neighbouring country probably in November for a wedding. About taking the time off, I regretted for not doing that. But like I said, it’s not time for rest, the rest can wait but I’ve to strive on for my many yet-to-be-achieved plans.

(Bryan got me this for being....a good sister wtf!)

Things will not remain the way they are forever. This is just a transition period. Trust me for saying that and you will see a difference.

Having said that, I promise to blog as “religiously” as possible.

Before I end this, let me share with you a dish I made myself today: salad prawn. Recipe inspired by a dish that I had at a wedding dinner last week. Yummy max!~ Does food taste extra-oomph when you hands-on? I think so :)

(Got to blur-kan my oily face ;p)

Enjoy salivating, see you probably next week, Bye bye! ;)

p/s: That's seriously not a bra that I was wearing... it's a corset...corset u tahu! -.-"..

Time Thief

One of the minus points that come with my new job right now is the inflexibility. I find it hard to have enough time for proper rest. I used to have ample hours to spend and I took it for granted. And now, I’ll need to steal sleeping time just to type a few lines here. Bear with me for a moment cause soon once things settle down, I will be back to old mode *wink*

Here’s to remind you that I’m still my cheeky old self. With a few extra wrinkle lines on the forehead though :(
Have a goodnight sleep everyone!~!~!~ ^_^

ROMANCE IN THE AIR~~

Of years apart...

Of miles afar...

Of time we’ve lost...

Of moments we’ve missed....

To the vows we make...

To the promises we break...

To the words we say.....

To the future we dream of...

The joy we had.....

The laughter we shared.....

The tears we shed..........

The hatred we once had............

To the day that we will be reunited again......Cheers

THE ASIAN JUSTIN BIEBER

A couple of videos taken with HTC DIAMOND. So, forgive me for the poor recording (no sound), still not good at operating the phone despite using it for a year already! Anyway, the main point is that, this is my brother, Oscar Kok. He can sing, can dance and definitely can perform. Take a look at how natural he was during the recording session. He was belting out a couple of Chinese songs, using my father’s work-pipe as a (fake)mic.

(Tilt your head to watch ^-^)

He can play some instrument too ^_^
Any chance of becoming the next Asian Bieber? ;p

CNY - THE SERIES

Eve of CNY: I did a lot of chores for the past 2 days, seriously...more than what I did for the past 25 years and 8 months. -.-"... I used to take forever to even wash my own cup wtf That's how blessed I am with a Super Mom who can practically manage everything well in order ;) But this time, I got to take some credits for:

a) Peel vegetables (kubis, cabbage,)

I peeled 2 bouquet of this for our steamboat reunion dinner. Not an easy task ok, you got to peel it with extra care so you won't terkoyak it half leaf like that because according to Super Mom, it doesn't look nice on the plate. Then, while you peel you got to talk to it literally just to make it her feel comfortable with what you're doing (I use her here as a respect for IT).

Then, I made noodles for pre-dinner meal. ;p "Reunion" means must wait for everyone to sit around the table only can start eating and my brother is well-known for being late regardless of occasion (King birthday also same eh) so I fed my stomach with starter -.-"..

b) I peeled egg shells. Before that, I boiled 40 bird eggs (technically it's not known as "bird eggs" but I can't seem to recall the term) but you know la that kind of eggs people usually eat for steamboat wtf. Chinese lang call "ciao nui" 0 0 0 ---> faham? (No picture cause not enough hands I only got two)

c) I massage-d chicken. From bonefull I massage to relax the muscle a bit so that Super Mom can 'ki kut" till it becomes boneless. =) (No picture too it was disgusting)

d) Most remarkable task of all: I wash P*****1

It took me more than an hour to wash it from front to back, inside out, bottom up blah blah blah! During the process, I almost tripped 957940654 times from tersangkut the water hose. And, I was drenched barely 3 minutes into the process so to sum up this task, I'm most sexy while washing car wtf

Fast forward to reunion dinner, steamboat time! ^_^ We had so much food on the table that it could feed a village! I'm serious! It was the five of us struggling to pop down all the balls (fish, sotong, crab, cuttlefish, meat) Afraid that we might not finish our food and ended up wasted, Super Mum volunteered to peel prawns for us *si pek ho mia* =)

The photo below was taken before steamboat. Sorry la, my photos all jumble up forget to do numbering ma -.-"... I took a nap so that I can stay up all night long to celebrate CNY but I ended up going to bed by 12am *mangkuk*

2nd round "reunion", our attempt to finish what's remaining on the table and fridge fails miserably T___T

Fast foward lagi, we "lou sang"... I mean this is "yee sang" and we were suppose to "lou' it... means toss it la~ It's a Chinese tradition, the higher you toss, the better your luck and prosperity will come for the year! Got this mini yee sang from Sushi King, don't ask me why got honey star there.. maybe it was meant to symbolise "bo bo gou seng" (translated: every step high-high) Seng: rise/star.

Next day, 1st day of CNY, I woke up at 8am to watch TV wtf

Got this Little Planet 2 character seat mat from my brother.

Volunteered at PBA. Something I enjoy doing each and every year :)

It was so-lan-hot I sweat the minute I stepped in the temple till I was off duty at 6pm -.-"...

Lotus candles.. they look like egg tarts hahahhahaha~

I'll end this post with an ang pow from an uncle.

Okay, bed time now. Day 2, gambatte!!! wtf

GONG XI FA CAI!!!!

Now... my fridge finally looks like how a real fridge should be! Packed with mandarin oranges and fizzy drinks for visitors to my lovely nest!

As you are reading this, I’m probably having a good time with all the food and steamboat that my mummy has prepared for the celebration! Do feel free to drop by for a visit, okie?

To my readers, family and loved ones, friends, colleagues, pak cik mak cik, “sam gu loke por”, a big GONG XI FA CAI TO ALL OF YOU!!!

Wishing you guys a great year ahead, with the best of health and prosperity coming your way! ;)

Eat more, gamble more & win more!!!

There's another thing...my ang pow...BIG BIG BIG ANG POW!~!~!~

Last but not least, don't forget to support Love life: Save the Environment, alright? ;) Many thanks!~!~!~

THE WOMAN IN RED

That’s my mum, on the phone again! Why “again” you ask, read it here.

But, that’s not the point for now. Notice her attire...and the paper bag I purposely put next to her? Matching right??? One set eh!! Look at the flowery prints Hawaii short!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!~
