Jipaban - My 2010 Santarina

Be good throughout the year and Santa Claus (the guy in red with big round tummy) will deliver his presents to you...

"But how mama...?"

#1 You better watch out~ better watch out~~

We have been told this Christmas Folklore since young. If you behave well throughout the year, Santa will climb into your room on Christmas Eve and reward you with a present. ^__^ But, why Santa never make it to my house? *big disappointment*

I've been a good girl! Really!

#2 Christmas Decoration at various malls.

#3 Beautifully wrapped presents are everywhere ^__^

When I'm old enough, I finally understand why Santa never make it to my house all these years...

#4 He couldn't find his way...

The only solution I could thought of was to get him a GPS as Christmas present. While I was searching for Santa's address in the Web...

I came across this...

#5 The new virtual Santa...name Jipaban.

If you are wondering who/what Jipaban is, let me explain! Basically Jipaban is a new online store that incorporates shopping with social integration. At Jipaban, you can customize your own virtual shopping mall with products or items of your choice. Here's what distinctive Jipaban from the rest! At Jipaban, there are over 100 of stores/brands with thousands of products and you can shop for practically anything & everything from clothes to books and even to electronic items!

#6 First, you need to create an account.

#7 Key in all the necessary details and after confirmation from Jipaban, you can start personalizing your virtual mall & shop shop shop!

#8 You can either look for a particular brand or search through the product categories.

#9 I've just registered with Jipaban so my friend list is empty :-( Add me there quick and shop with me!

There are so many unique items in there and I really have a tough time deciding what to get for everyone else!

For the Merry Merrier Merriest season this year, Jipaban is going to be Santarina. *yippy yippy yay yay*

If I were to get a special gift on Jipaban, I'd get this;

#10 A very special & beautifully crafted clutch from Salzburg With Love Woody Clutch by Green Poppies.

#11 It is made with quality treated wood and blue fabric. Elegant and simply nice!!

Now, since it'd be a special gift of course it'd be for someone special..

Someone who nurture me from young..

Someone whom love me unconditionally and shower me with loves and care..

#12 My mama

THE SOCIAL NETWORK

No, this is not about the review of the movie. As a matter of fact, I haven't watch it yet although I'm seriously tempted from the many positive reviews that I've heard of. But no choice, I've promised someone to watch it with him when he's back so meanwhile, I'll just have to settle for the reviews.

Coming back here where I intended to share just a little thoughts on the wide usage of social networks. I'm sure you have heard of Facebook, Friendster, LinkedIn & many of the likes. I too have lots of virtual accounts / virtual identities.

But are all these getting more into the reality of your life and sort of like "substituting it"? Give it a serious thought. Everyone can be somehow popular in the net with make-believe characters & fake personalities but are you as great in reality? I'll share with you the 7 signs of aging SOCIAL NETWORK taking over you:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

1. You prefer to reply to that "aww... so sweet" comment from a friend of yours (with a "yaya thank Q") first although you desperately want to pee. *one hand type, another hand "consoling" pundi kencing*

2. You stop going out with real people! Your teh tarik gang starts to "abandon" you from their usual gatherings. In fact, you don't have any friends in reality but thousands of virtual ones. *shakes head in disbelief & empathy*

3. You wake up in between hours in the middle of the night to harvest your watermelons or to steal your friend's carrots (Yes, we all play Farmville.)

4. Everywhere you go, whatever you do, whoever you're with, whenever it is:- You want to take pictures. Apology. I correct myself. YOU WANT, IN FACT YOU MUST TAKE PICTURES AND UPLOAD THEM FOR THE WORLD TO SEE!!! ---> Referring to own self wtf

5. Sry, AFK! Btw, thx4readin'! Its been gr8 pleasure hvin' u guyz arnd, cya & ttyl/asap! 88! wtf! *rofl* ---> If you are able to make sense from this "sentence", then bravo! You're superbly geng! An authentic cyber-freak! ('@')*salute max*

6. You tell yourself to "hang in some more" after 8 hours continuously (and counting) in front of the pc with pupils popping out just to chat. >.<

7. You're stalking me on my Facebook (hahahahaha~ just joking anyway, stalk me here, will ya? wtf)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I admit. The first site that I will log in every morning the moment I reach my office is no doubt Facebook.

#1

I need to see how many people comment on my photo or the notes that I write. I need to know how many "likes" I got for the "mouth watering roti bakar photo" that I've posted the night before. I need to be "kay po ci" on my friend's status updates. I need to feed my pet. I need to harvest my vegetables before my "neighbors" steal all of them. The key word here is "NEED". It's something I have to do each day. Now I'm shameful because you can see how weak I'm to this addiction. Most importantly, it's so user-friendly!!! F*ck you Mark Zuckerberg!

#2

Long before the wide usage of Facebook, I was so mad damn addicted to Friendster. Add me here. I still wander in the site on an occasional basis because it's getting more 'lala' nowadays. I used to actively participate in this site and blog daily. In fact, I've master the art of stalking people long ago and hence I'm a qualified "private investigator" hehehe~

#3

I'm even in Netlog. Feel so "in" & proud sial of myself. Sorry for the Bimbo profile picture though. I segregate different identities to different sites. Facebook: gila2 style, Friendster: semi-lala style, Netlog: Bimbo-lish, hiao-lish & chio-lish. Earlier, I was saying that I have a lot of ang mors & or langs friends here. However, there is none that I've known personally T______T Having chatted with them virtually, some are really great individuals looking for people to share their interests and experiences. Sadly, some are "ham sap lou" seeking for young innocent girl (I'm 25) and asking them to bed wtf

#4

Then, there's LinkedIn. For a more professional side of yours truly, do add me at LinkedIn. It's serious business here, you basically put all your hiring details & experiences hence kind of "formal".

"I tweet I tweet a puddy tweet!"

"I did, I did tweet a puddy tweet!"

In this era, who doesn't tweet? Your mum doesn't count. Same goes to your father. As a matter of fact, almost everybody tweet everything and anything under the sun! Even the most menial things for heaven's sake; like "Just finish lunch, off to school." Or, "alone at home, lonely night." Seriously, this is very dangerous and young kiddo do you want people to kidnap you or go to your house and rape you (choi!!!~)

With the amount of informations flowing freely in tweets, it is indeed the easiest platform of free information source for potential rapist/kidnappers/killers/stalkers/abductors/whoever.

Thus, please please please, be wise in posting things like that... I guess posting "Just finish lunch" is lame but still fine and pose less threat to your own safety! Can you please stop being so pig-headed and listen to me for once? *reminding own self*

#6

My space is like...erm your own personalized music station ^____^ I have a "passive" account. As you can see, I have 0 friends there and an empty profile picture.

 #7

This is a blog, my blog to be precise. Yea the one you are reading hahahaha~ *laughing ridiculously* I blog on daily basis, if time is tight then it will be a weekly occasion. It's alright to blog, just like keeping a diary ^___^ *convincing own self*

Other than the above-mentioned-social network sites, there are still plenty more which are yet to be discovered. Like Orkut, Bebo, Hi5, Last.fm, Black Planet & many many more ^____^

If you are having more accounts than me, then congratzzz!!!~ I'm amazed if you even have time to brush your teeth :)

I've spent four full hours juggling in between work, blogging, FB-king, Youtube-ing. I got to go. Everyone is playing Warstorm, I want to join!!~

Meet the Gecko O--X--X--X---X--O

We have a new addition to the family.  *anxious*

And it's no ordinary member * increase anxiousness*

Meet the Gecko *clap clap clap*

#1 I iz horrifiedterrified & petrified beyond description. No joke. Full stop.

The moment my brother brought it back into the house, my heart raced so fast & for a second I thought I already peed in my pants by just starring at it T____T

It has green rough skin (like crocodile) with orange spots. Generally like most reptiles, it has really huge eyes; like snake (another horrible creature) T__________T

#2 "Hey Bryan Lim Phang Guan (Yours truly brother), you buy what *insert curse word* Gecko, scare until I shyte! >.<"

I was too afraid initially until I really hid under the blanket wtf and wished that my brother was joking about getting that as a pet. Inside, I was praying hard to Jesus, Tua Pek Kong & Allah that it belongs to his friend and my brother was just the guardian of that creature for few days.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. He bought it for RM 150. And now he's officially the proud owner of Tokay Gecko! *tears flowing profusely down my cheek*

#3 "Lin, you are afraid of everything! Even Gecko!"

I threw tantrum. (hit table : throw chair : punch cupboard)

I cried.

I threatened to kill myself wtf yet I failed in forcing him to get that thing out of the house. *effin' heartbroken*

Since Bryan is leaving to KL in a few days, he briefed my mum on how to take care of his baby and hopefully when he's back, little Gecko is still very much alive (which is to me very unlikely because I'm already plotting my evil plan to put him to sleep wtf)

Say only, I don't even dare to go near it, what more about killing it =_______= Plus, I'm an extremely compassionate person who loves all beings like own brothers & sisters wtfwtfwtf

By the way, little Gecko is only 14 cm long and it can grow up to 40 cm for male or 30cm for female.

#4 "You're only 14cm, I'm 153cm. You should be afraid of me!"

Anyway, here's the Golden rule #1:

Gecko is sort of like shy so it will only crawl/move actively in the dark. And it will hide when someone is approaching. (Mum proudly suggested to put the cage in my room because I like to sleep in the dark) Mak memang pembuli tulen T______T

#5 "Sister, luck is on my side! Next time you don't allow me to play games, I'll scare you with it! *evil cackle*"

For some, it is now a very useful weapon to achieve their wicked goals.

#6 "Come lo, I'm not afraid of you~"

While for some, the great trauma starts this minute and probably has no finale to this sad episode fml
But I dare him to do so, Oscar is even more afraid of the thing that I am. *beam with victory*

Golden rule #2:

Feed it with nothing but cangkerik. Put a few cangkerik inside and it will last probably 3-4 days, depending on his appetite & mood. And also it's ability to adapt to the new environment.

Fyi, cangkerik can only be bought in packets. A packet-ful probably has hundreds or thousands of cangkerik(s) Mampus la aku what to do with the rest of the cangkerik(s) T________T

First, I got to live in fear with a Gecko in the house. Now, I have to tolerate with hundreds of cangkerik(s) My life is doom! :(

#7 "Come Gecko, I feed you Gardenia bread!" *trying desperately hard to change his staple food wtf*

#8 "I don't want bread, I want bird nest!"

#9 " You evil little creature, I can't afford bird nest!"

#10 "I don't care! I want bird nest! Either that or cangkerik!"

#11 "Can we negotiate a bit here? I buy you pasar malam RM 3 shark fin soup."

#12 "So cheap! You eat by yourself!"

Conclusion: Gecko is undeniably a very high-maintenance & fussy pet! T_________T Hence, my desperate attempt to feed it with more economical & hygienic food fails T____________T

I spend the whole day at home alone, with the company of Gecko. Out of boredom, we played "Starring Game". Actually I was standing about 30 meters far from the "aquarium".

#13 "Who blink eye first is monkey huh!"

#14 "Who is this silly girl?"

This is one of the many crickets that Bryan had put in! And I realized that Gecko has not been eating any of them at all. In addition, I take this opportunity to proudly announce that this is the first time I come across crickets, this huge and this close >.< They look very much like roaches *amitabha* and equally disgusting! >.<

 #15 Little Gecko

#16 "I'm camera-shy, can't you understand Hokkien?"

#17 "What's are you looking at? Go away! Back your ass then you know!"

#18 "Why are you still taking pictures?!! *insert curse words"

#19 Notice how my dad covers the top part (entrance & exit wtf) with a tiny bowl where we put keys! I'm afraid that Little Gecko will creep out in the middle of the night! =_____=

#20 My new found knowledge: Gecko is a very courteous reptile wtf

As I'm writing this, I saw a few white, fat, & juicy worms crawling inside. How come got worms one T____T Shyte, now I not only got to live with Gecko, but also whole village of crickets & worms!

Surprisingly, I just realized that I label this post as "Family". Well, since everyone is asleep, as "family", I should now save Gecko! *wearing gloves with mop in hand*

Big sister,

PJL
